The Legal Orientation Manager is responsible for conducting orientations to arriving refugee families on the immigration process and compliance requirements. The Legal Orientation Manager also works to document and record the personal information of the families and, where possible, engage destination communities in efforts to assist and provide guidance and support to families through legal professionals and volunteers.
Bachelors degree, with experience and knowledge in paralegal studies; paralegal certification may be required. Knowledge of the following: immigration law, legal principles and practices, legal terminology, and knowledge of local, state and federal laws and regulations relating to benefits is helpful . Intermediate computer knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office Suite, Windows applications, Internet, and email required. Strong communication skills - written and oral required. Some evenings and weekends required. High professional standards required.
