Class Action: The attorneys in the firms’ Class Action practice area have represented thousands of workers, across all industries, including workers in unpaid overtime lawsuits; low-wage workers in the restaurant industry and other industries in wage theft cases; women in the banking and tech industry in “glass ceiling” gender discrimination class actions; and African American and Latino job applicants in systemic failure-to-hire cases. Associates play an active role on cases, including investigating cases, handling discovery, taking and defending depositions, drafting motions and participating in appeals, participating in mediations, and attending court hearings.
Executives and Professionals: The attorneys in the firms’ Executive and Professionals practice represent individuals in negotiating employment, partnership, compensation, separation, and other agreements. Associates have substantial client contact and the opportunity to work on a variety of transactions.
Individual Negotiation and Litigation: The attorneys in the firms’ Individual Negotiation and Litigation practice area represent employees on individual negotiation and litigation in all areas of employment law, including cases involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, leaves of absence, layoffs and executive compensation. Associates have extensive client contact and the opportunity to work on cases in a variety of contexts including federal and state courts, arbitrations, mediations, and administrative agencies (e.g., the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission).
