Facebook is seeking a talented attorney to join as Associate General Counsel, Labor & Employment in our employment law group. The position will report to the Associate General Counsel, Labor & Employment covering our Technical and Engineering organizations, and will provide support to our technical, product, and engineering functions. This is a full-time position located in our Menlo Park, CA office.
Provide counseling and support for human resources and recruiting organizations, as well as general employment law support, including:
Provide advice and strategic support to HR Business Partners and business leaders on employee terminations, performance management, investigations, accommodations, reorganizations, agency charges, and other employment-related matters
Collaborate with other attorneys on the team with respect to all advice and counseling provided to HR and other cross-functional partners
Draft and edit employment related documents and processes
Manage pre-litigation and litigation matters
J.D. degree and membership in at least one state bar
8+ years of experience in labor and employment counseling and/or litigation
Experience counseling on, or litigation related to, California and/or federal employment laws
Employment litigation experience and experience coordinating and driving projects to completion (including litigations)
