The General Counsel office at RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an experienced Health Care Generalist/Contracting Attorney. The successful applicant will:
Review, negotiate, draft, and provide legal advice on contracts and topics from a wide range of disciplines within the System, including Supply Chain, clinical research, financial transactions, information technology, real estate and equipment leases, construction agreements, and other commercial transactions and contracts. Experience with information technology contracts is preferred.
In consultation with the General Counsel and Supply Chain develop innovative procedures and protocols to streamline the System’s contracting function;
Counsel on a broad range of general healthcare topics and where required provide support and assistance to the physician contracting function;
Experience in a health care law firm or department is preferred but not required.

Education & Qualifications:
Excellent academic credentials and Juris Doctorate degree from a nationally recognized law school.
Active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction and eligibility for admission to the New Jersey bar as in-house counsel.
Minimum of 6 years of experience at either a top law firm and/or in the legal department of a large organization.
Demonstrated professionalism, negotiation, relationship building, and leadership skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
