Ballard Spahr LLP has a new and exciting opportunity available for a Pro Bono Events Specialist. The selected individual will support pro bono related business development activities for the firm and its lawyers. Working directly with the Pro Bono Counsel and Director of Practice Management, the Specialist will plan, coordinate and execute events with corporate clients through the Wills for Heroes Foundation, pro bono clinics and CLE programs as well as other internal and external events and programs.
Primary responsibilities include researching and posting available pro bono opportunities; managing events including concept development; day of/on site preparations and event day staffing; production of event materials; communications with contacts at Wills For Heroes, clients and attorneys and collaborate with the business development team to maximize the business development impact of pro bono events.
Ballard Spahr is seeking someone who has excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, a strong customer service attitude, solid written and oral communication skills and the ability to multitask and work in a deadline driven environment. Flexibility is needed to travel to Ballard Spahr, clients and other locations as needed. A valid driver’s license and a clear driving record are required.
