The AILA Communications and Outreach Department is charged with promoting the mission of the association and the expertise of our over 15,000 member attorneys to both media and the general public. We are seeking talent to join our team!
Your Role …
Our Communications Specialist is responsible for supporting a variety of communications activities, with a focus on producing content for the Immigration Justice Campaign and building engagement across AILA and Council websites, email lists, social media channels and marketing campaigns.
Your Background …
Undergraduate degree and 4-5 years related experience in a Public Relations/Communications environment with proven experience managing broad media campaigns, and a strong interest in technology and its use to increase outreach and online presence.
This position requires previous experience developing and managing communications, social media and marketing strategies, in addition to expertise in speech writing, and developing presentations and reports. He or she must also have a strong background working with various social media platforms and tracking software, and must have a solid familiarity with project management principles. Experience with social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Hootsuite along with email and press management platforms such as Salsa and Cision are preferred
