The firm is seeking a Director of Legal Talent Acquisition. The Director is responsible for providing support for all aspects of the firm’s legal talent recruiting and retention processes. Candidates for this role should have a strong recruiting background including highly developed organizational skills. Legal recruitment experience, or at least experience working directly in a partnership or professional services environment, is preferred. This position requires a calm and approachable attitude as well as the confidence and demeanor to deal with people at all levels, both within the firm and externally (including senior level candidates). The Director of Legal Talent Acquisition will collaborate with firm management to develop and implement talent acquisition strategies with a heightened focus on recruiting, integration, and retention, while supporting the firm’s growth, and maintaining and improving its cultural, diversity, and quality standards.
Collaborates with firm leadership to identify current and future lateral hiring needs in accordance with the firm’s strategic plan, and develops and implements strategies to attract and retain the most talented and motivated lateral candidates.
Designs and implements systems and programs using data and metrics to manage the recruiting process.
Stays abreast of external legal recruiting trends and is able to make strategic recommendations given findings and experience to ensure the firm’s competitive market position.
Assists in driving strategic relationships with the firm’s preferred search firms to ensure their focus on the identification of a diverse range of top talent to meet the firm’s needs.
Leads the recruiting staff in coordination of the full cycle legal talent recruitment process including drafting position descriptions, scheduling candidate interviews, preparing and circulating business case materials, overseeing conflict checks, collating interview feedback and other supporting requirements.
Works closely with professional development staff to contribute to the long-term growth and development of the firm's legal professionals.
Bachelor’s Degree required, JD preferred. 8+ years relevant work experience.

Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to command a room.
