The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Office of the General Counsel, is
seeking a highly qualified attorney to join the Public Health Division, National Institutes of
Health (NIH) Branch, providing legal advice and services to the NIH. NIH Branch attorneys
advise on a wide array of highly visible, complex, and often precedential public health matters.
This position offers a range of experience, significant responsibility and intellectually engaging
work. We are looking for strong legal, communication, and interpersonal skills.

The NIH Branch of the Public Health Division, HHS Office of the General Counsel (OGC), is located on the main campus of NIH in Bethesda, MD. The NIH Branch provides legal services to the Director of NIH and its institutes and centers, and to other OPDIVS and STAFFDIVS throughout the Department. We further the HHS and NIH missions by providing legal services in nearly all areas of the law.
