Management of patent assertions and patent licensing, advisement on all types of IP transactions, and due diligence for acquisitions.
Description: As a member of Apple's in-house IP Transactions team, you will be analyzing and negotiating with third parties on complex patent matters, conducting intellectual property due diligence for acquisitions, engaging in assessment and valuation of patents and licenses, and counseling clients on all types of IP contracts. You will be directly engaged in formulating and driving strategy as well as providing counsel to clients at all levels of management. The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:
- Deep, sophisticated knowledge of patent law and experience managing patent disputes. - Experience negotiating patent licenses and other types of IP contracts. - Natural team player.
Key Qualifications: •4+ years experience (either at a major law firm and/or in-house) with patent licensing and disputes. •Ability to advise effectively all types of business, legal and engineering clients. •Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
Education: J.D.; degree in engineering, computer science is a plus.
