Apple is looking for an experienced attorney to support its exciting and ever-growing Retail business. As part of the Retail Legal team, you will act as a legal advisor to a wide variety of business teams within Apple's Retail universe, including Apple's physical-brick-and-mortar Retail Stores, Apple Online, and Retail Contact Centers. Primary responsibilities will include drafting and negotiation of commercial transactions, including supplier, software licensing, professional services agreements, and non-disclosure agreements. You will also review marketing materials and draft and negotiate partnership, licenses, talent agreements and releases.
Description: Unique opportunity to provide legal expertise and support to the face of Apple - its Retail business. Your primary responsibility will be drafting and negotiating commercial transactions. In addition, you will advise Retail's corporate, e-commerce, and field teams on a wide variety of matters, including program development and promotions, marketing initiatives, including partnerships, licenses, talent agreements, and releases, customer escalations, policies, and more.
Key Qualifications: •At least 4-8 years of relevant law firm and/or in-house experience preferred •Strong ability to independently draft and negotiate complex commercial agreements. •Experience advising on consumer protection and marketing issues. •Demonstrated ability to advise throughout all stages of program development, maintenance and shut-down. •Comfort in verbal and written communication with all levels of management and internal legal teams. •Sharp business acumen to resolve complex issues and conflicting interests in creative and efficient ways. •Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills is a must. •Comfort leading and completing work independently, handling a variety of matters at once •Ability to shift gears flexibly and frequently, in a fast-paced environment. Great time management skills required. •Project management skills, including organization and attention to detail. •Emotional intelligence (EQ) required.
Education: Requires a JD degree and admission to at least one state bar.
