The Washington, DC office of Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP has an opening for a Legal Personnel & Recruiting Assistant. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following legal recruitment & personnel functions, including, but not limited to, general legal recruitment & personnel support, as well as additional projects upon request.
Assist in the preparation for on-campus interviewing.
Assist in the coordination of the interview process including scheduling office interviews and escorting recruits.
Maintain and ensure accuracy of applicant data base (ViDesktop) for all entry-level and lateral associate hiring activity. Generate related hiring reports. Enter data of all search firm, unsolicited and on-campus applicants in ViDesktop. Track pertinent candidate information.
Assist in the organization of materials for hiring committee meetings.
Attend and help coordinate summer associate & recruitment program events including offer dinners and on-campus recruiting activities.
Update recruiting files, monitor recruiting expenses, and process expense reimbursements.
Assist in the preparation of student survey and statistical analysis.
Coordinate attorney travel logistics/reservations for recruiting programs.
Assist in the coordination of attorney onboarding including the creation and maintenance of personnel files and preparing for orientation.
Perform various clerical duties for the attorney personnel & recruiting department as needed.
The successful candidate must be team-oriented, self-motivated and have the ability to work independently, as well as possess the following characteristics:

Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills with a service-oriented attitude.
Ability to effectively communicate in a courteous and professional manner.
Ability to juggle multiple assignments and adapt to changing priorities.
Ability to exercise discretion, good judgment, flexibility and maintain confidential information at all times.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Experience working with Symplicity (Law School employment communications tool) and ViDesktop, our applicant tracking software, is strongly preferred.
Event planning experience.
