Reed Smith is proud to be a member of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD). The LCLD is made up of more than 275 corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners working to build a more open and diverse legal profession. As a member of the LCLD, our Chicago,Houston, Philadelphia,Pittsburgh, and Tysons offices are pleased to participate in the 1L LCLD Scholars Program, which is designed to strengthen the legal pipeline by expanding the number of opportunities for diverse first-year law students. The program offers students the opportunity to work side-by-side with our lawyers as part of our Summer Associate Program.
Additionally, the Pittsburgh office offers a unique opportunity for the LCLD Scholar to split their summer internship between Reed Smith's and PNC's legal departments. All LCLD Scholars work side-by-side with our lawyers as part of our Summer Associate Program and participate in a two-day retreat designed exclusively for the 1L LCLD Scholars, which includes panel discussions, distinguished speakers, and networking opportunities.
