How Will You Make a Difference?

• Provide leadership to Fish’s pro bono program with a focus on strengthening the firm’s overall pro bono culture while overseeing and managing the day-to-day pro bono activities and serving as the substantive resource to firm attorneys engaged or interested in pro bono work
• Build and maintain relationships with public interest and legal services organizations; identify pro bono opportunities of interest to Fish attorneys and potential pro bono partnerships with firm clients
• Liaise with various internal departments to provide opportunities for attorney development, leverage pro bono as a recruitment tool for potential candidates, enhance business relationships, and promote the firm’s diversity program
• Develop larger pro bono projects and litigation matters which provide opportunities for cross-office and cross-practice group participation
• Develop and manage firm’s pro bono administrative program budget as well as budgets on pro bono matters
• Remain current with best practices in pro bono administration through participation in professional networks of pro bono counsel and administrators and recommend policy changes and enhancements when appropriate

What Will You Bring to the Table?

• Bachelor’s degree required; JD and/or law firm pro bono management experience preferred
• Minimum of three years program management experience in the legal industry
• Master level interpersonal skills, including the gravitas to establish solid working group relationships with partners, practice group leaders, and administrative department heads; ability to work well with and earn respect of a wide range of colleagues
