Stradley Ronon is hiring a Business Systems Analyst to help Administrative Department Directors and Managers deliver business services better, faster and more affordably through optimized work processes and better use of existing and newer technologies. Under the direction of the Chief Information Officer, the Business Systems Analyst will act as an internal business and technology consultant to the firm’s Administrative Departments, identifying opportunities to increase efficiencies, reduce operation expenses, and better support the delivery of legal services.
Work closely with administrative department managers and staff to identify business problems, gather business requirements, optimize work processes, improve access to information, and leverage technology. When workload permits, collaborate with the Practice Systems Business Analyst to help our lawyers improve the delivery of legal services.
Help our administrative department customers make better use of existing technology to deliver internal support services better, faster and less expensively.
Develop requirement documents, cost/benefit analyses, risk analyses, affinity charts and process / workflow diagrams.
Documents “as is” and “desired” states and quantify impact on firm operations.
Analyze and evaluate existing systems to identify opportunities for improvements.
Research new and evolving technologies in order to make recommendations for improved systems to the firm.
Coordinate project meetings with business users, IT teams, and third party vendors.
Assist with technical configurations, design mockups, user testing, and project deployment.
Develop test plans and participate in associated quality assurance activities.
Prepare and present status reports; track key metrics to show value / ROI.
Manage project tasks, timelines and budgets effectively.
Produce case studies and other materials showing value of work and impact on client service.

A minimum of five years of experience with process redesign, requirements definition and technology alignment.
Four-year college degree required, MBA a plus.
Previous law firm or professional services experience preferred.
Exposure to Lean Six Sigma and/or the ITIL framework is a plus.
Will have a deep understanding of business processes and technology used within law firm operations including Human Resources, Marketing, Information Technology, Knowledge Management, Records, Conflicts and other areas of the business.
Working knowledge of legal practice workflows and related technologies a definite plus.
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint, Access and SQL.
Thorough understanding of project management principles.
Experience with defining business requirements, system selection and configuration.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
