VF's Director, Ethics and Compliance, will play a vital role in VF’s Ethics and Compliance Program goals by assisting with maintaining compliance with all laws, regulations and company policies primarily in the Americas region (North and South America) and the EMEA region. The person holding this position will be based in Denver, CO and report to the Vice President, Ethics and Compliance. How You Will Make a Difference:
Lead key components of VF’s Ethics and Compliance Program including risk assessment, policy development, training, communication, monitoring, investigation, and program evaluation and improvement; provide overall leadership, vision and strategy for the Ethics and Compliance Program regionally
Serve as a subject matter expert on compliance-relevant topics and the Code of Conduct by providing guidance to colleagues; act as a point of contact and key advisor for senior management regarding ethics and compliance issues
Analyze data, evaluate trends and monitor applicable laws and regulations to recommend and implement appropriate strategy and program enhancements
Design and implement or oversee effective regional programs on topics such as third-party risk management, antitrust, confidential/proprietary information, gifts and entertainment, conflicts of interest and other areas as needed
Work cross-functionally to develop Ethics and Compliance training and awareness initiatives, including managing vendor relationships and developing effective and continuously improving employee engagement methods
Prepare and present periodic reports and presentations to stakeholders and employees regarding various subjects, including compliance-related topics
Develop and implement procedures to ensure enhanced analysis of data and conduct related root-cause/risk assessments; develop and communicate recommendations for risk mitigation
Supervise two or more compliance professionals
Successfully complete other work as requested
Skills for Success:
Minimum ten years of previous successful business or legal experience in a relevant field that demonstrates a work history of maintaining high ethical standards and personal integrity
BA/BS undergraduate degree with excellent academic accomplishment required; J.D. or equivalent and/or other compliance certifications preferred
Strong organization, execution and project management skills
Ability to self-start and work independently while demonstrating practical and creative problem analysis and resolution skills
Executive presence and excellent written and oral communication skills, with an ability to communicate and influence effectively at the management level
Ability to simultaneously handle multiple assignments and prioritize work assignments as needed to meet deadlines and fulfill the demands of VF’s high-energy environment Ability to relate well across cultures with a wide variety of people in a professional and diplomatic manner
Comfortable engaging in all levels of work from the exciting to the mundane
Fluency in Spanish is preferred
