As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced and highly organized Immigration Paralegal to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to help shape firm operations while supporting a mission-driven legal practice that makes a meaningful impact in the lives of immigrant families. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of various immigration case types, including I-130, I-485, I-131, I-918, I-765, I-360, I-751, and N400, and possess excellent organizational and communication skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare, review, and file immigration forms, petitions, and supporting documentation with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR), and Immigration Court under the supervision of Immigration Attorneys.
Draft legal documents, including motions, briefs, affidavits, declarations, legal correspondence, and supporting letters.
Conduct comprehensive reviews of immigration applications and case files to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable immigration laws, regulations, and filing requirements.
Perform high-level quality assurance by cross-checking and validating client information, supporting evidence, and legal documentation prior to submission.
Manage and maintain case files, monitor filing deadlines, and track case progress to ensure timely and accurate submissions.
Communicate with clients regarding case status, request required documentation, and provide guidance on upcoming deadlines and procedural requirements.
Prepare clients for USCIS interviews, immigration court hearings, biometrics appointments, and other immigration-related proceedings.
Conduct legal research and gather supporting evidence to strengthen case strategies and ensure compliance with current immigration laws and policies.
Prepare and submit record requests, including Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests and other government record retrieval requests, as needed.
Coordinate with attorneys, government agencies, and external stakeholders to facilitate efficient case management and resolution.
Maintain organized electronic and physical case files while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with firm policies and legal standards.
Assist with special projects and provide administrative and litigation support to attorneys as assigned.
Bilingual (Spanish/English)
Ability to quickly grasp new concepts and adapt to changing environments, showing a strong aptitude for learning and problem-solving.
Minimum of 2 years of experience as an immigration law paralegal.
Strong knowledge of immigration laws, regulations, and procedures
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
